Love the starting point of affirming the person. And repeating I’m going to disagree and that’s ok we can still love each other. Put’s relationship first and honors differences and makes space for people to have questions!

Agreed. I really appreciate this framework. I can see using it with a lot of things, really--worldview, political opinions, discipline styles. I love that it corrects the message but still affirms the person. I think we all need better frameworks for debate, and this is a great model. Thank you!

Completely agree about needing better ways to debate and disagree. I'm someone who cannot think about how to do that in the moment. I get overwhelmed and feel caught off guard. So the model has been what helped me, personally.

Thank you so much. I have a 7 month old daughter, and I'm constantly thinking about what to say when these things come up...because it is a matter of when, not if. This is very helpful.
